1999FRC here,actually leafs started back with the C1...with a rear spring and longitudinal control link,C2 vettes had rear independent w/trailing and lateral links supported with a centrally mounted leaf spring....my bad

steel leafs started in the C3...composite/plastic monoleaf spring in the C4,C5, and C6,transversly mounted that is.
