no this is not an opel. the 2010 lacrosse is based on the buick invicta concept and was developed by GM's USA team, and because buick is a big name in china and is going to sell the lacrosse there, GM's china team, it uses the GM designed epsilon 2 platform. this is more of an american car then anything else.

The only reason why it looks half decent is because it was not designed by Americans. This is an Opel (a german car company under the GM umbrella in Germany). Basically they stole the whole thing and changed the emblems and some body trims. They can do it because they own the company. Same thing with the Pontiac g8 and coupe, they are really a Holden (Australian company) and thats the only reason why they are decent. etc......

The 2010 Buick LaCrosse is base of its concept called invicta. The Invicta was host at the Beijing Auto Show in China. GM has added more Buick models in China compare to the U.S. due to the increasing sale. The U.S. version arrived at the Detroit Auto Show in early 2009.
With its new looks and sleek interior Buick is trying to become a strong competitor.
