Most times, a blower failure will send bits and pieces into the engine causing internal damage to the engine. Especially true when the blower discharge goes directly into the throttle body. I have a air to air aftercooler on this car, and the blower trash was caught by the heat exchanger. There was no damage to the motor when the blower failed.

This may be a dumb question but if a blower fails, will it blow the motor also? Or will only the blower need to be rebuilt?
