Well in most racing its mandated that you remove airbags from the car. I am assuming it was originally used for drift/soloI events as the passanger air bag was there. And its not a waste to take out your airbag in alot of older cars if the airbag deploys the insurance company will write it off even if its minor damage

You're not allowed to have air bags in race events, as it can kill a driver with a helmet on. He wasn't wearing his helmet though which still makes him stupid.

I think its funny they took out the perfectly good steering wheel with an airbag and put in a race wheel. Then we he wrecked he hit is head on the wheel. I think that's what the airbag was there to prevent. Silly Japanese

The tree looks fine, makes me think they should make the front of Miatas out of wood, might have held up better.
