this was dumb. i know eclipse and talons can be made fast as anything else but that m didn't really put effort and losing your motor to a race like this good luck starting over

ha little boy in the little japanese made economical import car... that m3 didnt try to race you. i promise that e46 woulda walked on your lil 4 cyl with exhaust leaks...
i drive a 10 year old m3 and i woulda walked on you, and i dont even have front tires! thats how easy it would be

The only mistake this guy made was not taking the balance shaft's out of his engine properly. To go and say that an eclipse cannot compete with the likes of an M3 is assanine. The M3 is no doubt an amazing car, but an amazing car with a big price tag. A properly modified eclipse can easily take on an M3, and for a fraction of the cost. Ex: with 80$ in modifications, my 91' GSX run's 13.3's all day(1/4mi). With some suspension, and tires times would be lower, and handling will most certainly be close to if not better than an M3.
