not true. an ecotec makes horrible power turbo'd. The ariel atom 300 is where its at! The ultimate motor would be a 4g63 but big turbo that and your asking for a death wish.

I'll take the GM Ecotec 2.0L (not 2.4L) but with a turbo instead of the supercharger. Those engines are simply incredible for a 4 banger, several making over 800 horsepower with a turbo and intercooler. On second thought, give me the V8. Nothing beats the sound of a full tilt V8.

It's actually the K20 out of a Civic Type-R unless it is produced in the U.S. then it gets the GM Ecotec supercharged 2.4L. The really interesting part is that Ariel is coming out with a Atom 500(yes, with 500BHP) with a V8.http://www.arielatom.com/specs/atom-500-v8
