This is an awesome comparo. Because the R8 guys bitch in all the other video's when the Z06 stomps it in a race and say "compare it to an LS3" due to the power. The LS3 is faster in the quatermile. Besides I think the Audi was going faster out of the gate at the beginning anyway.

Would expect the z06 to soundly beat the r8 given the big step up in power. I guess they chose the ls3 to be able to play the half price comparison card.

the R8 definitely has more grip than the standard corvette. Americans have always been crazy like that we put huge motors in light bodies because we like acceleration for cheap! $80,000 less but it is way less refined. wonder how the zo6 would do, it would be a better battle.

Watched it yesterday...Damn that R8 looks super nice & vette did well either :)
