Hmm lets see. He probably spent numerous hours and lots of money building that car. So you want him to take it out on its first run and put his foot to the floor and risk breaking it. You need to work the bugs out of a freshly built car before you go beating on it. So yes, he is a typical american, smart enough to respect and not trash his car.
