DAMN dude yah it sounds like whats going around here in Sebring yah back when my dad had my truck he had taken it up to the dealer for a misfire so the dealer hook up the scan tool and thay came up with YOU NEED A NEW ECU??? when i got the truck back i took a look at it myself and i found that all it was was a simple spark pulg wire change it and i have had no problems for a while then when i got the truck i was burning a lot of tire and doing donuts and my tranny dieds three days later so i rebuilt it myself and fully built the motor and that same trany 4 days later craped out again after that i said the hell with that went got a race trany and now its good BUT heres the thing my truck isnt the new stuff its the older modeldakota with the 318 mag and its running good now iam having some issues with the rear end but i just got a bad ass 8.8 31 spline rear end from the gt mustang it has the posi dif with 3.73 running gears and thay say its as strong as the dana 60 and i cant wait to get it in the truck but yah if you want a dodge go with the older model.

I was always led to believe Chryslers were great vehicles and people on forums and shit would always try and tell me, no no, you must have just got a lemon, these things aren't common, they're the best blah blah blah. New 2001 Dodge Intrepid, low mileage, front end began clunking, wandering, wearing tires prematurely, Chrysler factory reps even said "there's nothing wrong", dealers wouldn't do shit. Transmission began hesitating and bang shifting from 2-3 when getting on the gas to merge (was told again nothing was wrong). Dodge Durango, changed oil every 4,000 miles w/Mopar filter and premium oil, engine blew up around 60,000 miles. Ball Joints went at like 30,000 miles, rear diff had problems, leaks and shit at low MI. I've owned a new Charger SRT8 (within a few thousand miles, blue smoke from exhaust, Chrysler said was normal, transmission began shifting rough, electrical glitches). Dumped it and got a certified used Ford SVT Cobra, no problems and I've been much harder on it and in fact babbied the SRT8. I also take great care of my vehicles and haven't had any of the ridiculous problems I've had with the Dodges w/Fords or GM's. (of course nothing's perfect though) but there's a fine line between understandable and ridiculous.
