Honestly I would rather have that GN over my talon anyday! That GN is built right from top to bottom and is by far the nicest GN i have ever seen. The GN can be turned up to go alot faster then what it was when we ran ;) I est his CRANK HP here to be around 8-850HP. Probaly ending up at high 6s to the tires on a chassis dyno. They do lose alot of power through drivetrain especially being an auto with a high stall... And there not light cars either...

The G-Bodies are not great for freeway racing. Their aerodynamics are crap. Any time slips or dyno sheets for the Talon?

Didn't care for the video quality, but kudos for building such a sick little car. The TSI/GSX is the best import bang for the buck for sure. Too bad last 2 generations of Eclipse are kinda lame. Love GN's too. Still a nasty and respectable car after all these years. Thanks for the race!

I totally agree with you, well said. I understand that you cannot guess the power of the car by the spinning of the tires, but on these cars unless you are making over 500 hoarses you will have a difficult time spinning the tires at a 40-50 mph role even if you are in good tune with racing slicks on, trust me, I would bet money on it!! I don't mean chirping them I mean actually spinning them, leaving black marks. On these cars if you were put me in one, I could easily guess the hoarsepower rating and what quarter it should run with the setup it has. Don't ask me how I know this, I have just lived and breathed these cars enough to know!! Really it should not matter what hoarsepower you tell people you have, hoarsepower and dyno's do not win races it's the drivers skills, suspension, tires, torque, weight, ect, ect that you got to count into fact!! Don't get me wrong hoarsepower does matter but it is just a side factor that you put into the equation So you tell them you have a 700 hoarsepower car, tell them you have a 1000 hoarsepower car. The fact is there either going to call you a liar and race you any way, or they are going to believe you and race you anyway to see what there car and do against yours. Just saying being a street racer myself, if I saw you car in action I would for sure know what I would be putting myself up agaisnt if I was a moderator watching what you car an do in a race. I am sticking up for you in the fact that someone on this post said that car should be spinning the tires if it was putting out 800 hoarses, which as you said it does. But if it was not there is no way at that time it was putting out 800 pony's, because majority of the guys I know that have 600 pony's comming out of there gn's there baking there tires at 40-60 mph roles with notched frames and slicks on. I understand you said he just rolled into it but the fact remains with these cars the torque multiplication is much higher at lower rpm's when you ease into it rather than just flooring the gas, meaning it should of broke the tires loose alot more easily when he just leaned into it. I am not saying your wrong but alot of this also depends on the tune of the car itself!! I have a couple buddys of mine that have a tt audi putting out around 1000 hoarses and a guy I know that has a 92 tsi eagle talon putting out around 600 pon'ys, I envy these guys beacause there cars staight out haul as#. I love it when punks talk crap about them and then when it gets time to put up they get shut up!! Your statement was well said, just letting you know I am with you!!

Well sorry man i have no dyno sheets on the GN and if i did my buddy would kill me if i posted them!! We street race our cars and dont want everyone knowing what they have HP wise.. This is my i always say estimated HP ect.. Im sure u can figure out the reasoning for that ;) i will tell you the AWD talon was on "around a 600 WHP setting in that race and with more boost and some juice it'll do more.. quit a bit more :) what exact wheel HP i will not post or tell" And the talon weighs 3060 on the scales with noone in it.. The Gn is a buddy of mine and with what his car weighs i estimated his CRANK not wheel hp which im sure hes not far from. Another "friend" of mine put down high 688 WHP on the same setup down to the block ect and boost level the GN in the vid is on for this race :). Then turned around and ran 9.90s in the 1/4 at 136-138mph. And yes you are right.. that car WILL and does bake tires from 60-70mph rolls if he wants it to.. But obviously he eased into it so he didnt fry his tires.. But really man u cant go off wheel spin when ur trying to rate how much HP a car has.... I mean u say u build these cars ect, so u better then anyone should know this.
I guess i get tired of the non believers and go a little on the defense... TRUST ME i have to shut them up EVERY weekend.. And after i do the excusses FLY!! People HATE it when that POS AWD talon ROLLS there 650WHP dyno proven built and turbo charged LS1s lol. I experienced that 2 weeks ago :) Then the people that didnt see the race AKA the builder of the car wouldnt believe it lol. The ONLY person that was cool with the outcome of that race was the driver and owner on the LS1 car... Gotta love it! Always drama in this street racing scene. And its ALWAYS from the peoples friends or the person who did the work to the car. Rarely is it the actuall owner...
But its cool and i can understand how u wouldnt believe how the talon actually runs.. Most dont! Except for the locals that HAVE seen it run... Thats why its SO MUCH FUN to take it out on the weekends and crank the boost up and run some high HP cars. Man that hate it if they get pulled on by the ol little 4 cylinder :)

The easiest way to calm people down is to post some dyno results!! Do you know for a fact that the gn is making around 800 hoarse or are you guessing? You did not say if the gn was smoking it's tires from that role either. If it was I highly believe it was making 800 hoarse. Listen honestly I myself am not a hater, but sometimes it helps to post up some stats and dyno proof of results or better yet get a better video of those cars racing again. I am not a bullshiter that comes on here and talks crap, but I own 3 turbo regals one putting out 950 hoarse at the crank and has highly modified suspension work and a stage 2 block with gn1-r heads, roller cam GTQ70 dual bb turbo, front mount and the list goes on. I can smoke my tires at 60 mph with racing slicks on and this is also with a notched frame, big deal. My whole point is I literally work on and build these cars for a living and I know what they are capable of. I am not saying that car is not capable of making 800 hoarse for all I know it probably is but I can tell you right now unless that car was not spinning it's tires madly at the 40 mph roll slicks doesn't matter or if it has a notched frame, then it was not tuned for 800 hoarse. These cars don't need lots of hoarsepower to keep up with cars with equal or more. These cars are known for there loads of torque, that is why they are great drag cars, even right out of the box. These cars from the factory made 245 hoarse but the torque was 365 pound feet. Put some mods on it and you can emagine how high the torque then goes depending on the convertor. If anybody knows turbo regals you race them from a dig!! Regardless both those cars are sick and I still enjoyed the video, but I hope you can see where I am comming from here.

Did u take notice that the GN has a notched frame and 13.5" "slicks" under it? Plus alot of suspsension work?? Thats right you didnt know all about what else is done to that GN. And obviously dont know what block and combonation is in this Gn either OR the talon... And have u ever heard about boost control and throttle control?? I know what my AWD has HP wise "which i wont say due to locals seeing this as i run this on the street" and that was MY AWD talon.. The GN has to be making around 800 HP AT THE CRANK to run with the talon.. And the GN DOESNT have a stock GN block... Its a bush series block with Champions latest heads ect ect the list is far too long to list.. if you doubt this car makes 800 crank HP on this boost setting then GOOD go race it... As it CAN run higher boost levels :) What you dont see in the vid due to its shitty quality is the AWD baking all 4 tires very badly!! But i hope to god you seen how BADLY both cars walked away from the dyno proven 480WHP cobra.. Which is also a friend of mines car... yeah the cobra prolly got to around 110 MPH and did you see how far we were away from it and how HARD we were leaving it!!?? LOL i mean srsly!! But anyways.. Theres always haters and people that know everything although they dont have the slightest idea about the 2 cars in the vid.. So they dont believe and want to find a way to talk something else down... thats what i love about this game. The haters go home butt hurt and the excusses fly!! No need to be negative and call BS. I have no reason to lie about anything.... It seems when a 4 cylinder is faster then what people "think" it should be theres always doubts,.. Oh well enjoy hating i guess. Makes for better races :) And for those that enjoyed the vid, thats what it was put up here for. Kthanks
