....where do you guys get your facts from??? The LS1 camaros were rated at the flywheel, but they were underrated....meaning they made more power than advertised. Plus, I've never, ever heard of an LS1 f-body put down less than 270 stock, unless it had mechanical issues. AND what an idiot, 13.4 for a stock LS1 is not fast, try high 12's.

Thats not exactly correct. The LS1 F-bodys were rated at the wheels. The LS1 is a 350hp/365ft lbs of torque motor. and trust me GM did not make any changes to it when they put it in the GTO. The GTO was rated at the crank. My bone stock 2001 Auto Z28 dynoed @ 298rwhp w/ 306lbs of torque. It ran a 13.4 @ 107 in 100 degree weather on bald tires. And sorry but stock 4 stock NO LS1 GTO is going to beat a F-body. It weighs 500lbs more!

your off by alot of factors!! The 400hp rating from the factory is sae crackshaft rated horsepower not rwhp so if it made 359hp at the wheels the 400 is a correct rating. and i dont know what stock camaro you think has 300 rwhp, Because the highest horsepower model you could get was the SS or WS6 model fbodys and that was rated at 310-320 sae crank horse power which would put down more like 255-265 rwhp. So the bolt on's should bring them up to pretty much even, the rest all goes by drivers skill!!!!! and from the look of it they both suck!! I have a 04 gto 350hp and would have spanked that camaro!!! it ran 13.45@106 bone stock (6sp) find me a camaro that will do that at 500lbs lighter to boot! bone stock.

Why does anybody think that the GTO even had a chance, Im a student at WyoT ech and i can tell you the 05 GTO only runs 351rwhp its not 400hp like som e my think, a Stock Z-28 runs around 292rwhp, now it says camaro had bolt ons meaning it could have a head and cam kit mean it would dam well be mak ing around 430rwhp, or lets say for an instance he has cam headers and exh aust hes now running 350rwhp, lets throw in another factor Camaro weighs i n at 3400lbs! the GTO weighs 3900lbs thats 500lbs more you people need to get your facts straight and sorry if im off by a few lbs.
