the rattle is a leak between the manifolds and x pipe or something, the rattle should not be there with the rasp

My 01 Cobra sounded like that with BBK shorties, Bassani O/R x pipe and Bassani Catback.

Ive been told if you go with a straight flow threw muffler you get rid of the rattle, that is just the way it sounds with a baffled muffler. I have an 01 Cobra with the exact same set up.

My GT did the same thing. I had BBK LT's and O/R X. It's the way that the x is designed that makes it rasp like that, especially with Flowmasters. Nice Snake
