yea these cars are all over the place i have one some put down big power... some average and the b heads in the sn95 dohc's flow great, but their intake ports are too large so they lose a lot of low end torque these motors love boost thou!!

I have a 97 and have about 305 at the wheels with the usual bolt-ons (Full exhaust, pullies, MAF, Tune).

Stock pistons are fine in forced induction applications up to 450whp, but you need to swap to 11:1 pistons to make 350whp NA. You should be able to make close to 320whp with cams, ported intake, ported heads, and the stock bottom end. If I was doing a buildup like that and cost is a concern then I would port the intake, install cams, then just use the spray to make up for the lower compression.

FR500 kit cobras have made 470rwhp.......you could buy the patriot heads and respring them with an '01 intake.....or just have the stock heads respringed and mildly ported and get some crower stage 3's for wither way

Youd be fine these things handle 450 whp safely when supercharged or turboed....some even more. Its DOHC I dont know what I was thinking those heads are pretty good If you ported and polished them they would be better..Cams could get expensive. I think youd be better off just supercharging it with a kit even a small psi would gain more than getting into I/H/C put an exhaust and 6 psi or 9 psi kit and youd be happier I believe till you get used to the power and catch the bug.
