yes.. i noticed a significant difference. Me and my friend in the Miata have already ran my car with the cut outs open and with the cut outs closed, to see the difference. Now we are gonna do with brake boosting and without and show the differences.

It actually tends to work along the same lines as a two step. You can rev your engine to 4500 rpms but you still dont have boost. But if you two step it at 4500 rpms you will have about 8 psi on the launch. Again, makes a huge difference on the jump.

I used to think the same way. but I was proven wrong. I have only started brake boosting here lately. No matter if you are in the right rpms or not.. the turbo's do not spool unless you are under a load. Which means you have to be on the throttle. So if you stomp on the gas.. you are starting from 0 psi.. if you brake boost.. you are starting from about 10 - 12 psi.. it makes a huge difference on getting the jump.

I think that brake boosting doesnt really do anything to advance you in a race, cause if you get up to your desired rpm where the turbo is at full spool up, at the slight touch of throttle you shouldnt have any problems boosting rightaway cause if you do them you got a problem somewhere in the piping. been there done that.

He heard me start to break boost and thought I was going for it. So he went. I left about a second later. It was about enough time for me to notice he was going for it, and for me to take my foot off the brake.
