Yes my Z is turbo.. but it is an 88 Turbo. The 90 Twin Turbo is the power house Z that came with 300hp. The 88 turbo Z, had only 200 flywheel hp. All I have done is added an intercooler (since it didnt have one stock), 2.5" exhaust, intake and homemade boost controller. Not to mention that mine is a 3.0 6 cylinder and the subie is a 2.5 4 cylinder, therefore his 4 cylinder is almost as big as my 6 cylinder. So for my Z to be making the power that it is off of the small mods done, that is pretty impressive.

lol, hey if you z is turbo, then you need to do some more work if the vid is accurate it doesn't look like you took him by much atall. i'd think a trb'd z would make huge power.

I am the poster of the Vid. I am in the 300zx. I dont know anything about Subies.. except that it is AWD and Turbo 2.5. The owner of the car said that he has it chipped. If this is true or not I do not know. I didnt ask to see it. I really dont care. I just ran him and posted up the vid. I am sorry if some subie owners are upset that a turbo Z beat a Subie or something but the fact that I stated what the owner of the car stated... doesnt make me a liar or something.

The injectors on the Legacy GT are also exactly the same as the STI's. Everything about the engine and heads are exactly the same. Different tuning for marketing purposes... Wouldn't be wise to make Legacy GT as fast as the STI because it would simply make the STI look bad.
I own the LGT racing the s2000, integra, and mustang on this site. More videos coming soon once in the new turbo and such get fitted.
Also the comment about the VF36 being on the STI is wrong, it's the VF39 on USDM STI's. A tiny bit better flow capability for the VF39 vs the VF40 on the LGT. The LGT will top out 270-290 on the stock VF40 and injectors where the VF39 will top out around 300 give or take 10 horsepower. Small turbos but still worlds better then the Volkswagens softball sized turbos.

Lets address a few the poitns brought up.
05+ legavy gt: 13.5 boost stock.
Chip? not in the sense that APS does for VW, but cobb tuning makes the most popular solution for "chipping" the legacy. it loads a new map onto the ECU via the OBDII port. Stage 1 should hit about 295 at the crank, according to the site.
The 2.5T in the legacy is the exact same motor as the STI. The differences are (iirc): the intake manifold, intercooler, fuel injectors, and turbo. The heads, block, etc are all IDENTICAL. This holds true for all the 2.5s. There is no "webbing" on the block. Go check nasioc or legacygt.com, there are extensive posts with manufacturers part number references. The are the same,

yeah. the STi 2.5 has webbing to reinforce the block. the legacy, wrx, and forester xt do not have this feature thus making the STi block exclusive to the STi(reguardless of displacement). the standard WRX has a MHI td04 turbo whereas the STi has a IHI vf36 turbo.

785505,
thanks, thats right 14.5 for the sti. many people think the engines are the same but there not. even the spec b is different. the spec has the same flywheel and clutch though. its so much tougher than the 5spd.
