definately a 305 iroc. and yes the 350 irocs smoked the mustangs up and down the street.

actually the irocs didnt beat the mustangs. the mustangs were usually about 1mph faster in the slaloms

Thats a 305 Iroc, 350 would be a different story. I have owned a 5.0 5 speed GT and I own 2 350 TPI Formulas and my Mustang wasn't as fast. First year for the 350 in the IROC for those wondering was 1987. Any before that were 5.0's.

my 87 5.0 has 215hp/295 torque factory and the 5.7's have 245hp/335tq

Mustangs always outrun irocs in a straight line , but in handing the iroc beats it by a mile.
