Actually my friends the Mopars still got you beat. Mopar was punching out a lot more power with big ole engines way before Chevy was. Like me to list? Ok here we go......Polara.....aluminum front end, 413 max wedge/426 max wedge/eventually 426 Hemi. Dart- 318/340/440/426 Hemi. Pre 70 Cuda- 318/340/383/440/426 Hemi *faster then the Yenko's*The list goes on and on and thats just the pony cars. While GM had about 8-9 True muscle cars/pony cars. Mopar put out 16-20, while GM had a restriction of nothing larger then a 400 in a muscle/pony car, Mopar was putting 440's, Max Wedge, Hemi's in cars back in 63 and as far back as 55. I am a GM guy but Im a Mopar guy at heart and have a reason to be.

1 word.NOVA. nova's were the best bang for the buck..you could get a family grocery getter with a fricken 427!.. stock with a 396. sorry guys, the demons were some good ass cars, but when it comes down to it, the bowtie won the small grocery sedan war. if only they made a t/a version of the demon or duster with a 340-6pack, that would have been a nice setup

Duster/demons were the best "bang for the buck" cars of their day...nice numbers from a small tire/ss car on raw

Mmm small block Mopars, nothing beats them. Building a 383 for a 70 Duster right now.
