The 2.3 turbos had between 190 - 205 HP stock. It is perfectly legit to say that a 2.3 turbo can run in the 9's in the 1/4 or faster if the correct mods & parts are used. The pinto in the video sounds as if it may suffer from some turbo lag out on low end, I'm sure the top end is very good though.

286 rwhp is easily achievable with a turbo 2.3l. i think they had something like 220hp from the factory and respond well to mod's. the factory computer adapts well too. it doesnt need to be reprogramed until after 300 hp.
