Automatic, STI or not... it still has AWD so beating him off the line is a little bit of an accomplishment. Nice run man...

AWD AND AUTO ARE A WASTE. You can not take adantage of AWD in an auto WRX unless the car is a dedicated drag car. So in IMO the vid is no big deal, who cares if he wins or loses to FWD.
