And yes the Dart Swingers were fast but were no were near the fastest mopars, the fastest mopar (and also the fastest production muscle car not including the Yenko's and the SS Mopars) was a 69 Roadrunner 440 6-pack 4speed with 4.10gears from the factory and ran 12.91@111.8mph second was the hemi cuda. However if you consider the SS Mopars and Yenkos then the fastest was the 68-69 Barracuda SS/SA Hemi, by hurst.

actually Montecarlo, the 440 magnum made 375 hp and the 383 made 335hp, while the 340 made 270hp. but granted, the 340 was way under-rated from its actual horsepower, but i dont think it was near 375. And no, there is no 526 hemi, unless you stroke a 426 or 472 or de-stroke a 528. 69Chevelle knows his buisness, he's a Mopar/Chevy guy, he should know.

The dart swingers were one of the fastest Mopars because they were so light, with the potent and light 340 making around 375 horsepower stock it was a deadly combinanation
