I never said it was a racing engine. It was built by "VT Racing Engines" in Michigan. I bought the motor as a complete longblock with the stock, heads, cams and bullitt intake in place for $2000. It infact has a forged crank, Diamond Racing lightweight pistons (17cc dish), billet I-beams... The bottom end is good to 900hp, but I will never take it that high. I wasn't really worried about P&P heads for that price, and it was already assymbled and broke in. I dropped it in the car slapped the blower on it and away I went. I have since installed the cams but that is it. I hope that clears up any misconceptions.

P.S. mod motors will be bigger than ever in next 5 years. Everyone can offord to have a 99-2004 mustang in the shop to build on. (96-98 that was a weak motor).

wow doenst take a genius to know that you cant run 14 psi on a stock motor. About 6-10 is the max. Plus i wouldnt call it a racing engine, when all it is, is bored 0.20 over. When you had it apart, why didnt you have them put a forged crank in, p&p the heads, and put bigger valves.

I have a .020 VT racing engines 4.6 with stock heads, Houston Performance HP-292 blower cams, stock bullitt intake and throttle body, HP-Performance SCT tune, 3.73's, Hooker supercomp longtubes, x-pipe, spintech sporteman mufflers, Vortech S-trim with aftercooler and a 2.97" RR pulley. It made 514/468 with 14#'s of boost. the car has run a best of 11.24@124 and the fox car has run a best of 10.50@130+...

You cant make much more than 400rwhp with a 4.6L 2V and expect it to live. I went through 3 motors to learn that the hard way.
