If you want to go stock to stock that is not the same. But a Ford Lightning is boosted and also has a DOHC 5.4L V8, I think the Ford runs about 6 psi boost. Now to make the race fare take a stock OHV 5.3L V8 Chevy Single Cab- Short Box, put a STS Turbo on it runing the same amount of boost. The Ford looks to have the advantige but the Chevy is still faster, how dose that work. A bud who is also a Ford tech likes Fords but will always say Chevy just builds a better motor.

Sorry but they didn't stop makinf the Lightning in 2002 they stop production in 2004.Plus the comment on a L runs a 13.8 blah blah STS ran a 12.3
Bud your talking a bone stock L running a 13.8 vs a nicely moddifed GM truck.It's not the same race at that point.
Also a turbo is actually better overall.A supercharger has to deal with parasitic loss.A turbo does not.
