That formula has been around for a LONG time. Guys that have been putting gears in drag racing cars, trucks for towing, Jeep guys that off-road have been using it for years. You can use it to predict the RPM vs MPH of any gearing/tire combo that you want to throw at a car. The only variable is an unlocked torque converter. It works GREAT for manual transmissions though.

6.0. And so far at ~50,000miles it has only had minor issues compared to some that I have heard. I've only had to replace a couple sensors and the EGR cooler. Other than that this truck has been GREAT.

Its a very quick truck IMO, and I bet she is real fuel efficent as well. Defintly a nice weapon to have.

Not going crazy with this truck... It is a work/daily truck first. Tows my 13,000lbs RV during camping season. Just funny to see the looks on some of these guys faces when they get stomped by a big truck. Yes I know my truck is not the fastest beast in the world, but by the time most people actually take it serious it's too late ;)

How do you figure? The truck shifts out of OD down to 3rd, then into 4th. Maybe us missed it. I was running at 1500RPMs at 45 then it unlocks the torque converter and shift all it one shot. Do a little math. My rear end gear is 3.73, 4th is 1:1. My tires are 32" tall. I was going 90 MPH at the end of that run. The formula to determine RPM at a given MPH is as follows: (MPH *(rear end gear*trans gear)*336)/tire diameter in inches. So let me help you (90 *(3.73*1)*336)/32=3524. What did my tach say at 90 in this video??
