The only problem with a Superformance is trying to decide which model to go with. Their cars are all fantastic, the coupe, the gt, the mark III. But I have always loved the AC so I plan on going with the Makr III.

The first cobras had 260ci engines with 260 old(net) hp. The cars in street form weighed barely 2200lbs. 0-60 4.2 sec, 0-100 10.8 seconds (R & T 9/62) with nasty, skinny street tires. The car ran 154mph with 3.54:1 gears. In race trim the 289ci (2020lbs) cars put out around 385 to 390 hp (net) and as you might guess with 140 more hp were very quick. the 289 with the Daytona bodies had no trouble at all reaching190mph in europe all the time. My current C/D 11/07 says the EVO GSR weighs 3500lbs and does 0-60 5.0 sec. Small block Cobras were pulling 1g in the corners with bias ply, shinny tires in 1964.

ok i can see your point of view... but i hope we are talkin about the same kind of cobra man.. were talkin about a shelby cobra right??? they weigh less or right at the same weight as an evo.. but i can see your argument has some validity... as yeah i can imagine any evo weather it be the fq-400? or a evo 8 with those kind of numbers would flat out fly.. but all in all... no matter what you have to say... no offense my money is still on the cobra.. btw at the risk of makin myself look like an a*s just makin sure you know were not talkin about a mustang cobra..

If your talking about a Cobra like mine (not a '94).. my car only weighs 2,200lbs. No way an Evo weighs less. My car makes almost 500hp at that weight too. I also have IRS in my Cobra with 305 rear tires. It hooks hard, and handles well.

Even in a straight line, a FQ-400 Evo is way lighter than a Cobra...and if the Cobra is about 500hp....the FQ-400 Evo actually puts 423whp. Yes I know thats alot less hp, but lighter weight,AWD,twin scroll turbo,hollow camshaft,brembo brakes,TEIN suspension? Thats a Cobra killer. Even in a straight line I'm pretty sure a Evo like that could take almost any Cobra due to its high end parts.....but don't get me wrong I don't hate Cobra's at all, in fact I am on the brink of buying a 94'.

you mean the real evo like the one across in japan...???.. if thats so thats a lil diffrent story but my money is still on the cobra... on a road corse (spelling?) no doubt would eat it... but in a straight line i have my doubt that evo would hang.. top end it would kill the cobra but the cobra has way too much torque and hp to overcome the all wheel drive plus the cobra was made to do this... just flat out haul ass... so IMO i think a cobra would still take it in a drag race... but like i said road coarse no doubt evo...thats just my opinion though

A stock evo? How about a FQ-400 Evo MR? That car would destroy pretty much any Shelby Cobra on any given track.
