F act of the matter is that no one really knows why GM discontinued the B-bo dy platform, as the only official explanation ever offered was "to ma ke room for new model lines." I'd like to make you look unintelligen t on a couple of other points as well. Up until 1999 approx. 70% of the t axi's in NYC and Boston were all Caprices. The majority of these were fle et vehicles directly from GM, but many of them were retired police cars. The reason the cab companies like them so much is because they could routi nely go 250k-300k before needing an engine rebuild. As for the gas milage , my car sees triple digit speeds at least once a week and I still get bet ween 22-25 mpg. U nede two go bak to skool and lern sumthing beefur U pos te on hear ugan.
