To smp396, not exactly. The Corolla is an economy car. The Celica is more of a slow but sporty coupe. Basically it looks fast without any of that pesky power and speed and stuff. And that N-D routine is old news! I used to do that when I street raced LS1 Camaros and 4.6 Stangs. Now I put it in Park and stand on the gas! (It helps with staging at a drag strip) I can easily beat Ford GT and Lambos now. Easy.

Put the shifter in "N" (that stands for nitrous) Stand on the gas pedal for approximately 5 sec (so the tranny can build boost) Then simply select the "D" (for dragrace) Sit back and let the TRD kick!!!! Let it EAT

like i said im not sure, maybe you should do some research on it, but i know one of my buddys have told me that it could mess up your tranny. just lookin out for ya.. i mean you can do it some times its not going to hurt or they wouldnt of put it in. but i wouldnt do it everytime you step in your car. thats what i think.

To smokey306, I wish I could. But my household is a democracy. No one else knows how to drive a stick, so I had to get an auto.To Nasty01Camaro, how? It shifts faster when I manually shift it than when I leave it in D. And I thought faster shifts=less clutch pack wear in an auto tranny. I'm probably wrong though.

This is what boredom does to you on a long drive. I figured out how to make my 4 speed auto Celica sound like a manual tranny shifting. If you listen closely you can even hear me simulate the clutch engagement. :D
