If you can check the compression on that cylinder or if you had a seasnake to look down in that port i think you will find a valve problem, What happened before this started ?

Possibly spun a bearing or something else relating to the piston assembly could be loose.

i'd pull the rocker covers.you'll possibly see that theres a round cam lobe on that cylinder cranking compression cam be deceiving. if you can watch rockers with afriend cranking it over. that pock noise is a clue

connecting rod, berring, pistion, valve, cam lobe... there is more things... more boost??? on pump gas???
