Okay, this is a phenominal time for this horsepower rating. The fastest supras in the world with the same horsepower and gutted/stripped chassis are running around 8.5. This car does indeed have the ability to make a lower ET, but if you check the high trap speed of 169, you should know that the car is having a hard time hooking up but then accelerates faster than the supras. And for the guy that thinks an 800HP car can even TOUCH 8s must be thinking of a bare nothing funny car that weighs in at 1200 lbs. What you have to realize is that it takes less horsepower to go from 12 seconds ET to 10 seconds ET than it does to go from 10 seconds ET to 8 seconds ET. 1600HP in this light chassis might be good for another fraction of a second but it's not about HP any more at this point -- he has to hook that power to the ground, which is hard to do in a car that only weighs 2700 lbs dripping wet.

it seems slower than camaros and mustangs because of the IRS, assuming they kept it. The independent rear suspension is not ideal for drag launches, as it tends to build negative camber on the launch.
