In the FULL video I have seen of this exact run, the car posted a 9.89 @ 131 mph or so. I love how the raspy, unappealing sound from this car's engine turns into a Formula 1 sound when it is under hard acceleration.

if you built it strong enough , how many could you place together , maybe a gear after 3 to off set it , make six and put energy back in the motor instead of the mounts?maybe you will find a ballance , 9 would would be perfect

The other person who replied to your comment said that rotaries can't do better than 8 seconds in the 1/4 mile. There is a 4 rotor turbo BMW with low boost doing low sevens.

first off, cool this vid is from new zealand and so am i, but anyway, i own a mazda r100, with a 10A dual distributor, and no dumba55 (FD3SGHOST) mazda NEVER made a 1 rotor, everything was 2 rotor except for the special 20B cosmo in japan NZ and australia which was a 3 rotor. The only 1 rotors ever made, were not made by mazda, 1 was by a swedish company sachs for snowmobiles, another by suzuki their re bike from the 70's, and another by freedom engines for the moller skycar. That's it. Audi was the first apart from NSU to make a rotary engine, although only as a concept, and that was a 5 rotor engine, which would have been nuts. Mercedes also made a concept car which had a 4 rotor in it. Every single rotary engine that is made, the company that makes it must also pay a royalty fee to NSU in germany, the university that felix wankel attended. That is why there are so few engines, there is a lot of hoops to jump through to even legally make them. i'm ford all the way myself, i am planning to either put the rx-8 renesis engine into the r100, or a ford 289 v-8, my father stuffed a 289 into an rx-3 years back and called it ironically the rx-8, it was cool tho.

They banned periphial ports not rotarys. Porting a rotary is like upgrading cams valves and heads on a piston engine.

i wanna see a mazda run faster than 8-9 seconds rofl. 930 hp aint crap if it only has 6-700 tq and only achieves that peak power at like 6k rpm.

a 750hp big block NA with 900 tq that hits peak power at like 3700 rpm will eat a 930 HP dyno queen car on the track. end of story.

sorry dirsforacing but you obviously have no idea about powerbands. thats why the big old out dated piston engines still dominate the track. they achievve power quicker and with lots more Tq.
