The LSJ has an eaton m62, correct, and its true if you removed it , that yes, it would be slower than the famed k20. Thats classic ricer mentality. However what the average ricer does not know is a thing called compression and cams etc... the lsj is build for LOW compression, and boost, so it doesnt take a sideways visor wearing ricer to figure out the lsj would be slower if you removed the one piece the entire engine is built around

Honda has no tq, but decent quality. Take your head out of youre hole and you'll see theres plenty of 4 cyl engines out there that will own the tq curve of youre famed k20 (a2? a3? what type dumbazz?)...Stock for stock the ss/sc will pull a RSX type-s.... Thats pretty sad. And the new si's are a joke as well.

woot for the cobalt. Don't get me wrong I love my honda but I will give it to domestic 4cyl giving a run. your proly thinking what is e saying. honda has the best 4cyl of all time(imo) but hand it to gm and dodge. mainly dodge. They putting out cars that can now reach the 350+ hp range. nice drop.

id like to add that the 2.2 L( F22C1 I4) is the most powerful 4cyl n/a out of any car manufacturer.... the cobalt ss needs a sc to make this kind of power....and besides we all know that chevy motors are plain garbage.......find me a half decent reliable chevy motor a prove me otherwise, no wonder people who work at gm lose their jobs ,youd lose your job to if the company you worked for made expensive crap...dont bother coming back with your corvette or camaro hp bullcrap, im talking about reliabilty now

"also the K20 has no torque." and "vtec you get high revs and low torque."

wow. you need to learn a bit about variable valve timing.

Ever seen a well tuned K20 torque curve? How about this... no other 2.0L engine in the world has a better torque curve.

Of course a boosted 2.4 will have more torque than a N/A 2.0

But nobody in the world mass produces engines with better torque curves than Honda... please prove me wrong. I want to see the facts... oh wait, you cant. haha

"yea but chevy has nonboosted motors that can make 750hp what nonbooosted honda motor that makes half that?"

Just some facts... FYI a 2.6 litre K24 has made 370whp all motor... thats about 400hp at the crank.

Maybe its just me but I've always thought it was obvious that if Honda made a large displacement engine everyone would cry.

the TSX is 200hp buddy. If ya put a RSX typ-S head on a K24 you can get about 240 with RSX pistons
