A SS s/c cobalt cant run a 14 flat. I raced a stage 2 SS s/c cobalt at the local track and he did no better then a 14.1.

You all need to consider many factors, weight, gear ratios, horsepower and torque, tire size and grip, suspension, and was it from a dig or a roll. You can't say that "so much weight difference = a certain horsepower difference" because gear ratios come into play obviously. How about a 300 horsepowered farm tractor? If you take off all its weight to equal a Trans am's weight will it run the same quarter mile time? Not even close because it is geared low.

no, the cobalt can do 14.4s and the LT1 could see very high 13s. Don't forget the TA is 400lbs heavier too, which is like a 30hp difference, not 70.. That matches up with the .4 sec faster qm.

oh yea, and the Cobalt SS runs the 1/4 mile in 15.7s where the Trans Am LT1 ran it in 14.4. That was completely fake.

Yall are idiots. That's not a real race. I don't hear that LT1 so he's obviously not in it very hard. And stock for stock, the Cobalt SS comes with 205hp and the Trans Am LT1 came with 285hp. There's not enough sludge to pull 70hp off that motor. It wouldn't run if there was that much sludge. He wasn't trying.
