Race an R/T against a newer GT mustang and see what happens. The fact the the 05+ GT can beat an SRT8 is sad, seeing as the SRT8 has well over 400 hp and costs more than 35 grand. Chargers have nothing on the newer Mustangs, get over it you Mopars out there.

No argument there man; mod your stang and I'm sure that eventually you will beat an SRT8. GTs are also much cheaper.

My point was only this: stock for stock, the SRT8 is faster given equal drivers.

Your 2k would cost an SRT8 owner double that in aftermarket parts because they are few and far between for the SRT.

the SRT 8 is 15K over the GT, If I put 2000 in mods to my GT
my car will beat the SRT 10/10 times, and I will still be under 30K. the 05-07 GT with Just Gears, CAI, Pulleys, UCA/LCA, DS, CMDP and Headers are running 12.6- 12.8 1/4 mile.

Yep...bottom line the R/T beat the V6, as it should have. That V6 still needs more work if it intends to take that R/T.

Far from a driver's race, stock for stock. The SRT8 beats the GT every single time in ALL categories. Driver's are always a factor but equal drivers = an SRT8 win 10/10 times.

I really don't think it showcases the Mustang at all, It was not even a close race. From the angle it may look close , but In reality , it was like four or more cars back.
