When I bought my 06 GT vert I almost got a V6 but sprung for the GT instead mainly because I LOVE V8s and the sound they make. (V6 will never sound like a V8)I've had a 05 4.0 with nothing but 4.10s and bolt ons glue himself to me until I got to the top of 3rd gear at which point I started pullin' so believe me, V6s get my respect. With that in mind, couple of things I want to point out: Whether or not a V8 block is weaker than a V6 block is debatable and it does not cost 5000 bucks to buy a V8 block, aluminum or otherwise. Also, the 05 GT comes with 8.8/31 spline rear ends and set up out of the box to run 150 whereas the V6s come with 7.5s and are governed to a little over 110 specifically because the drive line is not rated for anything above that. (Not going to go into the details at the moment)With just bolt on's I can have 350 at the wheel NA so that's a nice option as well. That's just a few things to start and here is a vid to illustrate the generality of my point:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfGn3f-X-ywOk, as far as I know, there is nothing special about this 3V block except for the rotating assembly.Now, how much money is it going to cost you to make 800whp (1000 crank) with the 4.0 liter and has anyone even done it? Compared to a GT I think you would be very surprised. Anyways, you get the point. Up to about 300 400 wheel, it might be a little cheaper to mod a V6 but beyond that? I wouldn't be so sure. Anyways, no hatin' just stating facts. Keep up the good work.. I may be a V8 snob but I respect the V6s too, especialy Mustang ones.

Very nice, and just to let you know if you dont already, Pistons from the 5.0 should fit in that motor, I know they do with the older 4.0 rangers. THat means you could bore it and put a set of NICE forged pistons in that thing. Im all about going against the grain, thats why im currently buildnt my 92 2.3, yes it has the 2.3 and is going to stay that way. People all ways argue that a gt would be better. for ex: slap a supercharger on a gt and you will have like 500 hp. To bad the motor can't handle all the hp's. A v6 can go faster for cheaper.

Justin from vmp tuning has a 2000 v6 auto twin turbo going 11.09 with stock motor. Twin turbos on a gt of any year will never go 11.09 with the stock rotating assembling. So that proves a point right there.

Nice job Hamid. Way to make a strong sixer! As for the negative comments, ignore them. The GT has the same weak as pistons as the six does. And a tiny little secret, the six has a stronger block. Course the haters don't want to believe that. But for a track car, the six is the way to go. Can run 11's or 12's if you are serious, and for less money. If you pop the motor, there are plenty of 4.0 blocks around for 800 bucks.

Pop a GT motor and you are out 5 grand. LOL. It's cool to see a domestic six perform. The imports have been building strong six's for years, about time we see a domestic kick some ass.

Just want to be clear... I said 14.7 while NA... I had a few mods done... stock, the V6's run about 15.3. With my mods, I was beating relatively stock 95-98 GT's and fox bodies and keeping up with some poorly driven 04 GT's... usually beating them in the 1/8 mile, then they'd get me at the top end.
