Actually only hold the brakes down far enough to stop the car from rolling forward, then mash the accelerator to the floor and watch the smoke fly, definitely should look into a line lock if your going to do this often you'll not only F up your brakes but your whole drive train is taking a hit, SLP sells one but they might be expensive as most of there products are

Well unless you have line lock which only locks the front wheels the brake bias is trying to hold both the front and back tires from rolling. When yo u do a powerbrake burnout the motor is trying overpower the brakes. The mo tor obviously overpowers the brakes and spins the tires creating friction adn lights the discs up red hot. You see it a lot in racing when cars are braking real hard. And its not that your brakes were ef'd up its that they are now becuase you did the burnout. Learn to get the R's up and it wont take so long to get smoke.
