I don't know if that's true JLCVDUB, i know all technology comes from AUDI racing. But the Audi 2.8L is a typical V6. The VR's design looks much different with the positioning of the cylinders. Look at DSG though, that's technology from the late 80's used in the AUDI racing 90 IMSA. Recently coming out on almost all new VW and Audi models.

VR6 is the same technology as Audi engine. Audi just does not call them that.

Audi/VW share many of the same parts and the displacement is 2.8...not familiar with Audi's in specific.
