haha everyone one here is bitching cuz they dont think it has balls or he shoulda built a 383...Why? you can throw a nice set of aftermarket heads on a 350 (lt1 solid cam or not) AND produce the same power for less money..and you haven't murdered a nice engine to being with. mine is a 72 nova ss L48 350 4speed stock. I rebuilt the engine (to my surprise) it has stock forged pistons in it. ALUMINUM pistons. they weren't magnetic. Well now it has 904 heads that came stock, w 194 intake and 150exhaust? it has a rpm air gap intake, 1.5 crane roller rockers and a 272 cam. should make at least 400hp at the crank w my 750 holley DP. should be completed by next summer (uniframe off restoration)..and the reason the hp rating changed past 1971 is that they used SEA net horsepower ratings instead of what the engine made. (sae = amount of power left after the accesories are done being driven...want more power, ditch the ac and power steering. Old skewl blocks are getting harder to come by, so dont go ruining your engine by stroking it all to hell, get a shitty 80's block for that.
