Yes different gearing. The Zo6 reaches it's top speed in 5th gear while the ZR1 does so in 6th. Plus you have to understand how much air risistance comes into play at these speeds, it takes about 10hp to go 1mph faster.

Im deffently not hattin on the car but If the Z06 can almost 200 with 505 hp I would imagine this with 647 would be able to do a lil more than 205 does it have shorter gearing that the z06?

considering the Z06 matches the Forg GT in performance (except top speed) as it is according to all the head to head test (GT being a tick faster overall) this new vette should be able to take it to the Ford GT pretty well.

ok ok the ford gt it is faster in top now about low i dont know yet but top speed is a fact gt gets 215

dude the thing pulled hard and it was going 170 so stop hatin it would merk a ford GT and even if it didnt its still a ford so it looses ne way

When it was introduced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit earlier this year, the 2009 Corvette ZR1’s power was estimated at 100 horsepower for each of its 6.2 litres of displacement. GM Powertrain has completed SAE certification of the ZR1’s supercharged LS9 V8 and the results exceed the estimate: 647 horsepower (476 kW) and 819 Nm of torque.
