First I'd like to say that I'm a huge fan of the SRT4 Neons, inspite of what many may say about the cars being JUST Neons, I find them to be rather nasty looking, (in a good way), and those that make negative conotations about them have in most cases had a rather unpleasant experience when facing one on either the street or the track.Being a G.M employee and the proud owner of an 08 Cobalt Turbo, I can state that the LNF with its all forged internals, (except for the pistons) is more than capable of numbers beyond 400whp in stock form.As a matter of fact 410whp is the present record for the LNF, and his car gets beat on mercilessly.I do on the other hand agree that the transmission could be a whole lot better, granted he's had no issues with his other then an obvious clutch upgrade.When you throw this cars world class handling into the equation, its more than just a quarter miler.

why is everyone so obsessed with the quarter mile? asking someone how fast their cobalt is in a strait line, is like asking that to a mini cooper owner. the answer is... IT DOESN'T MATTER. this is a track car, and it would kill that neon on a track. no stock fwd car with a tune can beat a rwd car with a vette engine in a strait line.
