all the gto needed was a converter and gears... it would of bin a diffrent race

Automatic GTO's also run 0-60 in 5.8 sec, which is one full sec slower than the M6 GTO's which run 0-60 in 4.7 to 4.9sec . Also the Auto GTO's run the quarter in 14.4 sec at 103 mph stock while the M6 GTO runs the same quarter in 13.4 at 108.5 mph, a big difference. Auto(A4)GTO's are slow any way you look at it. A pulley only adds about 30-45 hp so this GTO should've beat the Cobra but not by much or the GTO was runing more like a 75 shot or was not tuned for the 125 shot. A 125 shot should more than easily off set the 200 lb weight advantage the cobra has here, unless the driver and camera guy in the GTO both weight 220+lbs each, which might be the case as the cobra had no passenger.

Nothing against the GTO's, I have met a guy around me that has done some pretty major mods, Heads, cam, exhuast to his LS2 GTO and he's run an 11.33 with the stock gears and an auto trans. The thing is with the Cobra running a 12.8 stock its just a pully change and a few bolt ons from running the same time's . Stock for Stock the Cobra is just the better car.

Okay racing on your X-box doesnt count. When you get a real car and really learn to drive then you can post something about it. Until then read a magazine and see how a stock 03-04 Cobra will kill a stock GTO, even an LS2 version. Oh yeah and these tests are done with professional drivers on closed courses not on their TV sets with wireless controllers.

There's not shifting in the GTO It's an automatic. The computer does the shifting for you YES its a computer controlled automatic
