well..toyota's VVTL-i kicks in way too late ( seems almost like it kicks in at 6500 rpm)..there's is such a limited rpm range where it makes it's pow er. It made decent power & torque..but how was the curve? I didn't get a chance to glance at it. But even though they got that awesome sounding crossover, the sweet spot is so limited in rpm's. I know eveything can be changed with tuning. But stock, I'd still go with the H for it's flat torq ue curve and wider vtec range. But hey great job on the numbers!

It's a N/A 1.8L that puts down 123lbs-ft at the wheels. VW can't even make that at the crank with it's own N/A engine that sports 200cc of extra disp lacement (122lbs-ft). Not to mention that the Toyota can maintain a greate r percentage of it for a greater amount of time ; Unlike the VW engine, it 's torque curve doesn't peak and then crap over itself past 4000rpm.
