thats compressor surge...NOT GOOD....what ur hearing is the turbine spinnig....then stopping...spinning..stopping...it will wear out the bearings and then u will have no turbo!

Ok guys, it isnt a blowoff valve and it isnt the turbo stopping fast. When the throttle blade is slammed shut when you let off the gas, the pressurized air that is traveling towards the intake has no where to go except back through the turbo. The turbo is still spinning and now it has the prssurized air flowing back through it. THAT is what that sound is...
