Cam and tires will put an LS1 fbody into the 11's, this is very believable. BTW only mods needed for a cam is rods and rockers, nothing extensive like suggested by Venom. Not like the motor is built, lol.

lol ok, here's the deal... let me verbally make it clear I myself am a Ford guy... However I will give made props to this Camaro both cars are sick in my eyes. With that said, I think alot of people over look the fact most motors typically don't have just a cam put in they need the supporting mods to do so and in this case that would be a fact. It doesn't go into much detail about the Cobra however I do believe it looked/sounded to have possibly an exhaust and cold air other than that stock where as the Camaro had everything need to help the motor withstand the cam modification. All in all wicked race, nice pounding of the gears Camaro. P.S. just once on Streetfire I would love to see an equally modified Cobra vs LS1 match up with almost same horsepower so that it comes down the to drivers capabilities and there is no more childish squabbles of which is better in terms of Maker i.e. Ford vs. GM.

A lot of you Ford guys are in denial, a pullied cobra is nothing a cam only Ls1 cannot take down, its a sick car to be sure and the LS1 will need a big cam but its possible, speaking from experience. My cam is a 231/237, i shift at 6500 rpm's and run in the 11's in a full weight WS6.... not hard to do guys!

That car was peaking to AT LEAST 7500RPM, spend a day at an LS1 dyno and you will become intimately familiar with their exhaust note. Do that on a stock LS1 and you will spit connecting rods, push rods, and lift your roller rockers. That engine has a purpose built upper and lower end. Don't get me wrong, it is a hell of a car. But give us some credit, why run slicks (like we don't see them right there in the vid) on an otherwise stock car with a cam making power to 8000 RPM. And while you are at it, take some credit as well, you create a beast like that, take pride in it. But like I said, hell of a car.
