Stay away from the 03 6.0 Powerstrokes. Those were like flipping a coin. If you are getting ANY diesel, don't short trip it to death. Diesels need to get up to operating temp.

If I was in the market right now, I'd look REAL hard at the new GMC with that LBZ Duramax. I saw one with just a Chip, 4" exhaust, and an intake put down 478 HP and 1008 lbs-ft to the ground!!! That Duramax has been a good engine I don't care what ANYONE says about aluminum heads.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the Current big 3 diesel trucks.

pretty cool truck for a ford.. haha im joking i love ford trucks (f250-450 only) i hate f150s!

anyways i want a 350 king ranch but im moving out of the country. im a chevy guy and my dads a GM employee so i get a discount. i have never owned a diesel and when im finally get settled in at my new home im getting a diesel. either a powerstroke or duramax. got any tips that ill need to know when owning a diesel?

Hey, it's all good. People don't realize that these diesel engine weigh th at much more than a big block gasser. I bet your 454 is a kick to drive. Here is an FYI a cummins 5.9 straight 6 weighs in at about 250lbs more th an my 6.0.... Scary thought huh??
