What makes vtec so great and different, is honda perfected it first and was released for production in 1989. This was long before the domestic companies had a production worthy example, need or want to do so. This shows honda is looking alot further to the future, not stay in the 70's like gm. When was the last time Ford, GM, or Dodge had an F1 race team? What motor did every single team in the last indy 500 run? mmmmm. honda..
