I think there is a combination of factors. Lets get away from the number for a second. It was apparent the Ford Driver was driving like a soccer mom. Also I would also submit that I believe the Z06 had nitrous. If you listen closely to the last race it sounds a bit suspecious. I might be wrong but something to look at.

what year zo6 are you talking about??? must be the "5.7" naturall y aspirated.my 06 zo6 has spanked the gt many times by atleast 2 cars both cars are bone stock. Which totally makes sense because ford modular serie s of engines are dogs and always have been unless there is a blower on the m.For further clarification pick up the new motor trend mag there is a GT w/ 720hp and that thing could only muster 11.3@134mph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a bone stock zo6 7.0l will run low to mid 11's all day. Ford would have b een better off putting a normally aspirated 5.8 in that car it definitley would have more torque w/out a blower. MOD MOTORS ARE GUTLESS?!!!!!!!!!!!

you would think that the ford gt would dominate because it is Ford GT the M SRP is $153,345*. And for a top of the line Corvette it is Total MSRP*: o f $71,485.00. that is a big difference and it is pathetic that ford can ch arge that much. What i am trying to say is that Ford is a company that has used the GT in the most sophisticated races and yet still needs more. For d and General Motors have been competing for a while and every year it is different. I like both and these models are great but Ford should improve and so should Chevy.

I didn't read all of the posts so sorry if someone already said this. People always seem to do this, putting themsleves up against a car they kn ow they can beat. A new lightly modded Zo6 vs. a stock ford gt. hmm, i w onder who would win, zo6 is lighter and modified= duh. Besides why is ev eryone just taking the mods to heart. They could be lying you know. Ever think about that? The vette could have juice, or the gt might not be stoc k. You never know. Still it seems everyone just believes it.
