Awesome pull man, that sucker really hauls! It's seriously sweet, great choice of mods, they're all working together well. And 'load' below is totally wrong. T-56 is a 6-speed like the one in a 99 Z28 or Corvette. T-5 is the 5-speed that's in the Mustangs, both v8 and v6 alike. Earlier fox bodies had another option besides the T-5, but a T-56 is NOT a 5 speed. I think it may have been available in much later Cobras or SVT, but yeah... not standard v8 Mustang tranny by ANY means. Look it up.

I run a 1997 v6 with a short shifter and a racing transmission, and to all of you who say seventy miles an hour isn't gonna happen at the top of second, mine does 65 before the redline and it's only a stage one part.

Yes gears make a difference, but so does the tranny! (all 5 speeds here) Manual v6 stangs = T5 tranny (94-04) Manual v8 stangs = T56 tranny (94-04) The gear ratios for the two transmissions are slightly different, the T5 will get very slightly higher mph per gear, but not by much. As for the 5.0L stangs its still T56 tranny with the EXACT same gear ratios as the 94-04 4.6L transmissions

2.73s can make a lot of speed for each gear. my 91 5.0 5spd had 273s and it would do 45 in first, 95 in second, 125 in third, and fourth would run out of numbers 140+. stock gears, stock speedometer.

You should probably get your speedo recalibrated. What gears did you go with?
