i will lay this debate to rest and let you guys know that the mpg gauge is broken in this car.

the mpg meters on BMWs register almost instantly, i think they are based on throttle imput. the one's on Lexus could be different, but this car shouldn't be getting 80mpg under any conditions

nothing is wrong with the mpg idiots... think about this, when a car does the 1/4 mile does its mpg register that he is going more miles if he is doing 150 mph at the end or if he is doing 80? it is the same, it is a 1/4 mile. now if he stayed doing 140 for a long time then the miles would click by faster, but with accelerating it won't. think before you type

thats because the tach measures engine rpm and the boost gauge measures boost.

if you have a turbo it doesn't look like there is any boost looking at the tach.
