I think GT4 is more arcade than simulation.. I just read you wrote about driving aids - in RBR only driving aid is automatic/semiautomatic gearbox!!!!!!!!!

I've never played GT4 sorry mate I don't know.. But I played all racing/rally/simulation/arcade games on PC since 1990, I can say only - this game has few bugs ie. you have to install patches to avoid crashing the game but as simulator it's definitely best one. I's really only for patient gamers, btw - our oldest community driver I know personally is 49 years old.. One more thing - if you have some previous experience in real rally or similar motorsport it will be very useful because without real life skills it's impossible to set up a car properly, this includes active differential mapping, complete geometry setup - toe,camber,caster,springs,3 way shocks, tyre pressures etc.,same as on real car.

Out of curiosity, how does it compare to Gran Turismo 4 with all the driving aids turned off? (On asphault I mean, the rally part of GT4 seems a little weak to me)

Otherwise - for fun/drift try games like Live For Speed - LFS or GTR/GTR2 maybe those ones are more fun/drift whataf*** oriented although they keep some level of simulation, they are better for fun, worse for serious competition. YES - RBR is competition, always, you compete against clock, compete against others but mainly against Yourself, this game will kill your mental health :-)

Hi - game is Richard Burns Rally, came out for PC,XBOX and PS2 but wasn't succesful.. Actually the Swedish Warthog Team whocreated this game doesn't exist anymore.. Here is short info from few sources - From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Richard Burns Rally Developer(s) Warthog Games Publisher(s) SCi Release date(s) July 9, 2004 Genre(s) Racing Mode(s) Single player, Multiplayer Platform(s) Gizmondo, PlayStation 2, Windows, Xbox Media CD-ROM (WIN) DVD (PS2, Xbox) System requirements Pentium III, 256 MB RAM, Windows 98 Input Keyboard, Mouse, Gamepad, or Steering wheel Richard Burns Rally (commonly referred to as RBR) is a PC/PS2/Xbox/Gizmondo racing simulator, published by SCi and developed by Warthog with advice of World Rally Champion - Richard Burns. It simulates both classic and modern rally, and is best known for its extremely realistic physics engine. This game is considered by many to be one of the most realistic and difficult racing simulators. RBR was not made to be moddable, but despite this there are mods available due to a very strong online community. The game was originally an offline racing game but user created mods have enabled online play. A sequel to the game is out of the question owing to the sad death of Richard Burns in 2005, due to a brain tumour. In addition to that Warthog was sold to Gizmondo some time after the PC release in 2004. Gizmondo went bankrupt in 2006. Source code of the game has not been released. -EXTREMELY DIFFICULT- -HARDCORE RALLY SIMULATOR- If you are about Rally simulation - visit our ultimate website - http://rbr.onlineracing.cz/?setlng=eng Come and join us!!
