dude, powerglide is the way to go. after i first put one in my coupe, granted its a turbo sbc motor, my 60's didnt change, but my 1/8 and 1/4 mph &et both dropped acouple tenths easy. just be sure you get a hardened drive gear, and a turbo 350 input shaft so you will have stall choices.
