How much HP is the viper putting to the wheels? I raced my buddies viper with a built motor and a novi 2000, he puts 1000hp to the wheels and he has spray on top of that, but when I ran him in my zx14 he would win a race then I would when one and it would go back and forth but it was always neck and neck, so for a 636 to stay with that viper he must not be putting that much to the wheels.
